ABOUT THE EGYPT MINING FORUM
Having undergone major transformation in the last few years following a huge modernisation project launched back in 2018, as well as the establishment of a new regulatory framework for mining exploitation. Egypt is rapidly emerging as an exciting and credible destination for international mining investors, with hidden mineral wealth waiting to be explored.
Hosted by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and supported by the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA), the Egypt Mining Forum 2024 will bring together senior government officials, global mining thought leaders, junior exploration companies, financial institutions and investors discuss the challenges and opportunities to advance Egypt as a global mining destination by 2040.
The Egypt Mining Forum is a premier event on both international and regional agendas. We already launched our journey towards achieving the capitalisation of mining wealth amid Egypt’s political stability and economic reform.
The scale of the Egypt Mining Forum has increased significantly from last year and that really speaks volumes on Egypt’s seriousness to commit to the mining sector. The growth of the Forum indicates the appetite and interest in Egypt which I think is fantastic and having access to key decision makers and Governments under one roof has been really good. This has been an opportunity for us to really put Egypt on the map and continue to promote the geological potential that we know is there.
