ABOUT THE EGYPT MINING FORUM
Egypt’s geology remains rich yet underexplored, and with investor-focused reforms, world-class infrastructure, and a modern mining code, the country is positioning itself as a leading destination for mineral exploration. This momentum is supported by the government’s ambition to increase the mining sector’s contribution to 5% of GDP and establish it as a pillar of long-term economic growth.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Egypt Mining Forum 2026 will take place from 28–29 September, showcasing the geological potential of the Arabian Nubian Shield, as well as Egypt’s exploration opportunities, policy reforms, and strategic direction. The Forum brings together ministers, policymakers, mining companies and investors to discuss how Egypt and the wider region can accelerate exploration activity and unlock new discoveries.
